💌Messaging Service

The messaging feature on TRAIVIS enables users to send and receive messages within the platform. Messaging is divided into three types: Personal Chat, Course Chat, and Announcements.

Types of Messages

1. Personal Chat: Personal Chat is a direct messaging feature between two users, where both can send, receive, and react to messages. Users can attach images and PDF files to their messages.

2. Course Chat: Course Chat is a group chat feature for users enrolled in a specific course and its instructor. This facilitates communication and interaction between course participants.

3. Announcements: Announcements are messages created by instructors to broadcast public messages to their followers. These messages are only received by the followers and cannot be replied to, but reactions are allowed.

Privacy Settings for Chat

You can control who can send you messages by setting "Message Ability" privacy for each profile separately. Learn more about how to manage your Message Ability privacy as an instructor by Visiting Manage My Instructor Profile's Privacy & Settings User Guide, and as a Student by visiting Manage My Personal Profile's Privacy User Guide.

Blocking Users: Blocking a user prevents them from accessing your profile, viewing your content, and sending you messages. There is no separate feature for blocking messages alone. Learn more about the blocking feature by visiting Sending and Receiving Connection Requests User Guide.
